Dear REAP Participants Past, Present and Future and those who support the program. As you know the budgets for Palm Beach County are being reviewed to cut over 55 Million of funding. This affects every aspect of county services and programs which out prejudice.
We all know that OCR - Office of Community Revitalization is one of the most important programs for neighborhoods and not just for the possible grants that we receive but for the unprecedented amount of information and education that OCR provides us, the citizens which we carry back to our neighborhoods and work to motivate our neighbors, family and friends to help solve our own issues and become more self reliant and engaged in our neighborhoods and with our local government.
We need to stand up and let our County Commissioners know how important this program is now and at the County Commission on Monday Night. I urge everyone to email the County Board of Commissioners (see below) and explain how the REAP Program as made a positive impact on your quality of life, sense of community and neighborhood revitalization...
Also, please attend the County Commission Meeting this coming Monday Night and tell the commissioners how important this program is to the county and its citizens.
