Scholaship Opportunity!

We’re pleased to announce that the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties 2011-2012 Scholarship Program is now accepting applications. The online application is on available on our website at http://www.yourcommunityfoundation.org/Scholarship-Center

The process is completely web-based, and the deadline for students to apply is February 1, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. Students who meet the primary eligibility will be invited for an interview. At that time, additional information will also be requested through the online system.

Thanks to the many individuals who have established scholarship funds, the Community Foundation manages over 100 scholarships and is one of the largest scholarship providers in Palm Beach and Martin Counties. You are encouraged to go to our website and familiarize yourself with our scholarship opportunities. Most scholarships are open only to high school seniors in Palm Beach & Martin Counties.

I wanted to bring your attention to one of our scholarships called the James H. Davis Memorial Scholarship. This is the criteria:

Graduating high school senior from any Palm Beach or Martin County high school. Also open to seniors from Homestead and South Dade High School in Dade County, FL. Must be majoring in horticulture, agriculture, forestry. Also open to students or adults returning to the field. Demonstrate financial need. Minimum 2.5 GPA while in college.
